The Can Tho Grand Exam was built by the French colonialists in 1878-1886 as a tool of colonial rule at the time. It lasts for over a hundred years, this is the evidence of crimes of colonial and imperialism as well as eloquent evidence for the indomitable spirit of the Vietnamese people. On June 28, 1996, the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) issued a decision to recognize the monument Can Tho is a national monument.
